Definition of a post-vaccination case used to produce these estimates: A post-vaccination case is defined as a case that has received a positive molecular test (e.g. PCR) for SARS-CoV-2 and whose date of episode occurs 14 days or more after the date they complete their full series of COVID-19 immunizations with one or two doses. Post-vaccination cases are identified by comparing data on confirmed cases from El Dorado County with the vaccination database. Please note that this process may not identify all post-vaccination infections, and this figure should be taken as an estimate. When additional guidance is released by the California Department of Public Health regarding how post-vaccination cases should be identified, this estimate will likely change.
