Gino D’Acampo sets record on liquidation reports

Gino D’Acampo has “set the record straight” after the liquidation of his restaurant chain My Pasta Bar. Look here :
The Italian television chief said he returned from vacation to find a lot of “cr * p” in the press about his business difficulties.
Speaking to Instagram, the 45-year-old admitted that My Pasta Bar was indeed in liquidation, but insisted that the business was completely separate from his restaurant business, which he said is “thriving” .
Speaking to his 1.4 million subscribers, he said: âWe have just returned from the island of Sardinia, I was there with a family, and when I returned I saw a lot of cr * p on my restaurant. Apparently my restaurant is [sic] in liquidation.
âNow, I don’t usually do that stuff, but I thought, let me set the record straight here.
âAbout 10 years ago I opened a business called Pasta Bar, which serves Italian food really fast in central London, three little shops.
âAnd we tried for 10 years, then Covid came along and I thought, you know what, we had to shut down.
“There was no point in continuing with the idea, that by the way, I absolutely love it and will continue with that with another company.”
Gino is of course just one of countless restaurateurs around the world to have been hit hard by the pandemic, with lockdown restrictions having a devastating impact on the hospitality industry.
Fortunately for the This morning regularly his other businesses seem to have weathered the storm.
He continued, âSo the Pasta Bar business has nothing to do with my restaurant business, with my import business or whatever business I do, it’s a stand-alone business in the process of being liquidated.
âWe have to move forward, that’s what business is all about – sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
âNow let’s talk about catering, which is developing very well, to such an extent that this year alone, I will be opening three mega sites and one in Italy! “
In addition to opening a restaurant in his home country, Gino said he also fulfilled his dream of opening a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
He said: âI have invested thousands and thousands of pounds in the restaurant, a whole new kitchen, everything is equipped, and I will be there on January 24 to celebrate the opening of a new restaurant. hope to see you there, can’t wait.
âAlderley Edge, brand new restaurant, so exciting.
“What about guys, can I give you a suggestion?”
