Kotak Bank appoints Ashu Suyash independent director for 5 years

The board of directors of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, at its meeting held today, approved the appointment of Ashu Suyash as an independent director for five years. Sayush’s term will begin from January 24, 2022 to January 23, 2027.

In a statement to the exchanges today, Kotak Bank said Sayush was appointed after the recommendation of its nomination and compensation committee. Ashu Suyash has over 33 years of experience in Indian financial services and the global information services industry.

She has led Indian and multinational companies as CEOs, built businesses from the ground up, managed and developed complex regulated businesses and led transformation and change, the bank said.

The statement said she is building an innovative platform for bold and passionate entrepreneurs and is an independent director on the board of directors of Hindustan Unilever Limited.

Previously, she was Managing Director and Managing Director of CRISIL Ltd and a member of its Risk Management, Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility committees.

She brings a sharp vision of strategy, execution, finance, stakeholder management, risk and regulatory affairs and key global teams, the statement said.

Suyash also sits on the Corporate Insolvency and Liquidation Advisory Committee of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, and is an active member of several professional associations, has a keen interest in the education sector and sits on committees. of NMIMS and NM College, NISM, the advisory boards of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and Aseema Charitable Trust.

Over the years, Suyash has received several awards and been recognized as one of the Top 50 Businesswomen in India and Asia.
