United have the arrival of Facundo Pellistri who can play behind the striker or on the wing and is seen as a talent who will compete for a place in the first team.
The 18-year-old was destined to join Lyon until last week and has garnered great interest from Manchester City, Newcastle United, Real Madrid and Barcelona over the past year.
Porto defender Alex Telles is undergoing medical examination ahead of his £ 15.4million transfer. Both will be joined by striker Edinson Cavani who also underwent his medical examination. Cavani will sign a two-year contract which will include a break-up clause for the club and the player next summer.
Barcelona are in talks to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon and Manchester City defender Eric Garcia, but want to get rid of Jean-Clair Todibo and Dembele to offset their expenses and lighten their salary budget.
United were unable to bring in Jadon Sancho but were open to a one-season loan at Dembele today.
Watford’s Ismaila Sarr has been linked, but the Championship side value their winger at £ 40million and do not consider loaning without obligation.

United have had an investigation from Southampton for Brandon Williams but have no plans to let the young full-back go.
Leeds United had tried to sign Dan James but the Welsh international, who was ill last week, wanted to stay and fight for his place and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to keep him.
James will likely take stock of his situation in January if he fails to make a bigger impact on United’s first team.
