President-elect Raisi receives more kudos
TEHRAN – Congratulatory messages continue to pour in on Ebrahim Raisi’s victory in the June 18 presidential election in Iran.
On Monday and Tuesday, congratulatory messages were received from the Secretary General of OPEC, the presidents of Algeria, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, North Korean, Vietnamese, Serbian as well as some political figures.
OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo wrote a letter to Raisi in which he said “the best days are yet to come” for the oil cartel thanks to the support and guidance of the Iranian president-elect.
Iran is a key member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
In a series of tweets, the OPEC secretariat said: “#OPEC Secretary General HE Mohammad Barkindo congratulated HE Ebrahim Raisi, President-elect of the IR of Iran, on his election victory. presidential elections of the country.

Raisi won the June 18 presidential election with a landslide victory, beating his three rivals by a wide margin.
Out of a total of 28,933,004 ballots, Raisi managed to garner 17,926,345 votes. However, Mohsen Rezaei, Abdolnasser Hemmati and Amir Hossein Qazizadeh Hashemi won 3,412,712 votes, 2,427,201 votes and 999,718 votes, respectively.
Algerian President congratulates Raisi
On Monday evening, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent a message congratulating Raisi on his election to the presidency of Iran.
“Today, Abdelmadjid Tebboune congratulated Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on his election to the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the Algerian presidency said in a statement.
Afghan President calls Raisi and wishes him success
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani telephoned President-elect Raisi on Monday evening to congratulate him on his victory in the presidential election and wish him success.
“Iran and Afghanistan are two neighbors and brothers and I hope that your election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran will lead to an increased development of ties and cooperation in various fields between the two countries,” said said Ghani, said the Afghan presidential office. .

Serbian president says ties with Iran will be strengthened
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was the first European leader to congratulate Raisi and wish him success as the new Iranian president.
“The Republic of Serbia is still determined to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Vucic said in a message. “I am convinced that relations between the two countries will develop in accordance with their mutual interests.”
Vucic also praised Iran for taking principled positions in favor of the territorial integrity of countries under the United Nations Charter, Press TV reported.
North Korean President says Iranians trusted Raisi
North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that the country’s leader Kim Jong-un congratulated Raisi in a note sent on June 20.
“On behalf of the government and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, I extend my warm congratulations to you on your election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Kim’s post read, Press TV reported. .

Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and Kyrgyz President also sent separate messages congratulating Raisi on winning the presidential election in Iran.
Nechirvan Barzani, president of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, also telephoned Raisi to congratulate him on being elected the new president of Iran.
President-elect Raisi also thanked Barzani for his greetings and expressed hope that with an activation of existing potentials, the region would take steps towards better security and economic integration.
Al-Abadi wants Iraq-Iran rapprochement in accordance with mutual interests
