Lauryn’s experience in the industry began in 2012 when her family opened a cafe at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (The Refuge Coffee Food and Wine) as a sub-tenant of HMSHost. She played a critical role in setting, opening, operations and staff training and became the Director of Sales and Marketing.
In 2017, she was recruited by Stellar Partners, Inc., a leading airport retail operator based in Tampa, Florida. Previously, as Business Development Coordinator, she supported the department in many aspects, from coordinating Requests for Proposals (RFP) to working closely with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Airport Concession (ACDBE) partners during the process. of RFP and also assistance with ACDBE reports at airports. Lauryn then became Director of Innovation and Business Development, helping Stellar Partners grow into an even greater retail powerhouse with a focus on innovation, technology and strategy.
In 2018, Lauryn was appointed Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), which quickly grew from a conceptualized initiative to a full-fledged committee with highly anticipated and highly attended events by young people. professionals, emerging leaders and industry. legends. Currently, Lauryn is the new secretary of the AMAC Board of Directors and is a member of the Steering Group of the Corporate Diversity Committee of Airports International Council of North America (ACI-NA).
