The bullish insiders of Elys Game Technology, Corp. (NASDAQ: ELYS) invested $ 1.1 million in stocks earlier this year
As a rule of thumb, when a single insider buys shares, it’s usually not a big deal. However, when multiple insiders buy, as in the case of Elys Game Technology, Corp. (NASDAQ: ELYS), it sends a favorable message to the company’s shareholders.
While insider trading is not the most important thing when it comes to investing for the long term, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider trading altogether.
Elys Game Technology Insider Transactions in the Past Year
Over the past year, we can see that the biggest insider buy was made by Executive Chairman and Secretary Michele Ciavarella for US $ 302,000 of shares, at around US $ 3.19 per share. While we love to see insider buys, we note that this large buy was significantly lower than the recent price of US $ 5.10. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn’t tell us much about whether insiders might find today’s price attractive.
For the past twelve months, Elys Game Technology insiders have been buying shares, but not selling them. The average purchase price was approximately US $ 2.81. In my opinion, it is good that insiders have invested their own money in the business. However, you should keep in mind that they bought when the stock price was significantly below today’s levels.
