TutorMe partners with Columbia Public Schools
TutorMean online tutoring solution creating access and opportunities for all students, announces partnership with Public schools in Colombia in Columbia, MO, supporting students during the 2022-2023 school year with learning recovery and academic advancement.
Made possible by ESSER funding and a District Request for Proposals (RFP), Columbia Public Schools sought tutoring services to provide additional academic support to students. Columbia Public Schools selected TutorMe through a selection process from over 20 applicants.
Sustained, large-scale tutoring support
“As a district, our goal is to provide our students with resources that will help them become confident as learners and further their college careers,” said De’Vion Moore, assistant superintendent of elementary education for Columbia Public Schools. “We selected TutorMe with the aim of making personalized tutoring support sustainable and scalable.”
The fifth-largest school district in the state, Columbia Public Schools serves more than 18,500 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The partnership with TutorMe provides students with additional academic support outside of the classroom and ensures that students receive the personalized, one-on-one support needed to succeed in college, career, and life.
A platform for a diverse student population
“Our partnership with TutorMe increases the availability and accessibility of personalized instruction beyond the walls of the classroom, ensuring our students have additional ways to achieve learning success,” added Helen Porter, assistant superintendent of the Secondary Education at Columbia Public Schools. “We are committed to supporting our unique and diverse student population with an on-demand tool they can use to get help when and where they need it.”
TutorMe matches students with tutors based on their own specific requests and provides diverse support via chat or voice and video tutoring. The additional service supports the student’s mastery of important concepts in English, mathematics and other subjects.
Students will access TutorMe through integration with ClassLink
